Who is a Coach ?

 Strictly speaking a coach or a life coach is someone who helps you with different aspects of your life, who might or might not use a therapeutic approach to help you excel in different parts of your life.

Just as an athletic coach, a life coach is someone who is there to lay out different options for you, give you the pros and cons of those options but in the end it’s up to you to make the decision.


A life coach also helps you out during the tough times, motivates you to do better and again derives a way out plan to deal with crisis.

A life coach however cannot be a temporary thing, a coach is invested in their client’s life and it’s not usually a one time session. Even if it is a one time session, a coach has to and should be in contact with their clients to see through the progress and if need be, the client can arrange another session with the coach.


A life coach is not exactly like a therapist or a counselor, as their domain is sometimes specific and limited, and they are only often approached during difficult times. A coach however, has a wider domain in my perspective and is someone who can and should be consulted during early or teen years of a specific personnel.
