Jack of all trades, master of none

I'm a Gen Z and if there's one thing you need to know about them is that they cannot be satisfied doing just one thing. Naturally, when I completed my studies, and started working in different fields, I started to learn new things as well. One thing about me is I love taking new and different courses through which I can increase my knowledge. And as time passed by, I identified my skills, and I added those in my resume as well, so my resume became quite diverse in the aspects of fields, like I have certifications in digital mkt, HR, people analytics and so on.

So when I gave an interview, during which the interviewer said to me that you are like a Jack of trades but master of none, I was quite shocked, I genuinely started to wonder what am I doing ? But the irony was that the guy turned out to be nothing but a scam who was also a bully and a narcissist during the 2 months that I worked for him along with two other people.

Ughh..couldn't be more true

And today, because of those other interests, certifications and skills that I had on my resume, not only am I doing well but I genuinely feel that I am utilizing my full potential and that just makes me the happiest.

So don't let anyone, ANYONE tell you that the thing you find interesting is not interesting or that, don't do this, this is not your field, YOU do YOU, and I can guarantee you that any new thing you learn about, or any interest of yours in which you invest your time or energy, is gonna be helpful and beneficial to you, maybe not yet, maybe not right away, and maybe you cannot see it like that right now but it will be I promise you.
