Note to my younger self
Growing up, I never actually got to experience a lot of things. I was a very timid, boring and a scared kid and because of that I didn't really participate in a lot of different activities, but also our educational institute did not provide many opportunities either.
I was preparing for the MCAT after my higher education but my brother, fortunately or unfortunately, talked some sense into me and got me to give an entry test for business school, which I ended up passing and finally graduating with majors in HR.
But now I feel like that was a mistake, now that I'm more aware, I think my calling was something else, but I couldn't choose that because I was not aware of it at that time.
That's exactly why there's a huge need for career counseling in our educational system. To help our generation not only discover themselves but equip them with the knowledge and awareness so that they can make best choices for themselves.
I knew my writing skills were good but I never actually experienced it until I went to university and participated in different societies as a blog or freelance writer, if I knew how passionate I was about writing, I might just be working as an editor or something at a publisher not writing blogs here which only 3 people end up reading (I still love it tho)
So that's what I would tell to my younger self, I would say to stop being so scared and spoiled and go ahead and make mistakes, learn from them and repeat all over again, do everything your mind says you should, do everything that interests you and don't listen to what others think you should or should not be doing
