Fairness and Equality
We all talk about it, being equally treated and getting fair treatment, but you know what it actually means sometimes ?
Equality is not given equal treatment, like everybody else, equality means giving the treatment that is needed.
Men and women both deserve maternity and paternity leaves, but the fair treatment is women need more, they need more paid leaves, and flexible work timings.
Two interns coming from the same background and institute, being taught the same things but one might be more adaptable than the other, does that mean you should not go an extra mile for the other one ?
Two kids, siblings, one quite intelligent, the other one a bit dyslexic, does the other one not require extra attention ?
Equality is not one definition fit for all, because equality is in direct relationship with the needs of the other person.
It means not asking a fish to compete with a 100 kg dolphin until, and unless that fish is a shark or you have equipped and trained that fish to be a worthy opponent to a dolphin.
