Hiccups

 Has it ever happened to you that something your parents or your partner said to you at home, and now you are at work and still thinking about it.


Or


Your boss said something to you at work and now you are still obsessing over it at home rather than spending quality time with family.


Yeah, you are not alone.



So the question is how to not let those little hiccups get the best of you.


There's no one solution fit for all, but here is what I do


Evaluate, think about whether what they are saying is true or false, there are a lot of opinions out there but not everything is worth your time.


Assess, whether it's a constructive criticism or a negative one, you know it in your heart when you are right or when someone is just jealous or taking out their anger on you.



Practice to not always be a pleasing self, some people will have an opposing opinion and they will not agree with you, doesn't mean you have to please everyone on earth.


Keep it or leave it, every piece of advice or a conversation can be beneficial or have no worth, know when one is adding value for you and making you a better person and when one is doing nothing but being a distress for you.
