Journaling, an introvert's best friend
We have all seen those depressed movie and drama characters writing in their diary, and their diary being their best friend keeping all the secrets in, and believe it or not we have judged those characters or people IRL who does that.
But is journaling actually helpful or just a myth ?
Speaking from personal experience, journaling is a great outlet for all your emotions, whether good or bad. And why it’s even better for an introvert or anyone who struggles to share their feelings and emotions is because nobody’s there to judge you.
Sharing your feelings with someone and then being judged or not being understood is one of the worst feelings ever, but with journaling the thought of being vulnerable is altogether eliminated which is a very reassuring thing.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying you should not ask for help from anyone and just journal. There comes a point in your life where you need someone’s, anyone’s help in dealing with your emotions and there’s no shame in asking for that help.
But when you feel stuck up, writing about your feelings is a great channel for your pent up emotions and even something that therapists recommend to their clients.
So get your favorite diary or just a piece of paper and start journaling, you will be surprised how much you have to say or write.
