Boost your confidence
If you don't want to get stuck in a loop like an idiot at work or any hobby or any of your chores, do this one thing, start taking feedback.
Taking feedback from your seniors and even your peers can help you get a different perspective about yourself and your work, that is only and only if you take the feedback in a constructive manner.
It's human psychology that when you hear something good about yourself from others, you instantly feel good and confident about yourself and your work as well. That doesn't mean that if someone is giving you constructive criticism you get demotivated by it.
But it's also important for a mentee to know the difference between constructive criticism and pure criticism.
Sadly in our work culture, giving feedback is largely used to meticulously bring down others rather than with the purpose of improving oneself. Feedback can definitely have negative aspects to it as well, and it definitely depends on how you take it but your mentor should also know when to highlight the positive aspects and when to highlight the negative aspects of it.
I think the perfect recipe for boosting your confidence would be reminding yourself of the good people think of your work, constantly trying to improve even if it's 1% a day, and blocking out unsolicited and non constructive advice that is doing nothing but bringing you down.
