Things you need to do to stop your scrolling addiction

 As I have shared in my previous post, I’m going through a phase of social media addiction. It's a frustrating, time wasting and toxic habit that I have somehow developed over time but nevertheless, as I have recognized it now, I’m trying to effectively deal with it.



So here are 3 things you should be doing if you want to treat your scrolling addiction

No. 1 Find yourself a hobby, any hobby or even your passion,through which you can spend some therapeutic, meaningful time and even polish your skills.

I love to read so for me it's definitely reading.


No.2 Identify your time block where you waste most of your time on social media, ideally your free time, and try to spend that time focusing on your hobbies and skills


No.3 You can't delete social media, nor can you magically quit using it completely so try and be mindful of the time you spend on social media, while you're allowing yourself to use social media you are also restricting yourself to spend only a limited time on it throughout the day.


Remember, you can't magically treat your addiction in a day or two, it will take time and it will take for you to be disciplined with yourself.

Don't be too harsh on yourself tho because it can have drawbacks and try and understand your root cause for the addiction in the first place that made you this hooked to an app.
